Job Role and Responsibilities
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Advice Centre Manager to manage and deliver Capability Scotland's Advice Centre. The Advice Centre is a free and confidential advice service providing information on disability issues. As Advice Centre Manager you will be responsible for the day to day running of the Centre and will co-ordinate and supervise a small customer facing team, including volunteers, to ensure a high standard of advice and information is delivered to both the public, and partner organisations. You will also directly deliver advice and information to members of the public and supervise, coach, mentor and develop your team to deliver an excellent customer experience.
Our Advice Centre provides advice and information to members of the public on disability related issues by phone, email, social media or face to face, as well as hosting disability related events resulting from emerging themes such as Housing and Debt Advice. The Advice Centre is open during office hours from Monday to Friday.
Experience gained through working in a similar environment or other related services such as Citizens Advice or National Health Services is desirable, but not essential. Knowledge of disability related issues is also welcomed.

- Research and Providing Advice and Information to the Public
- Collation and Presentation of Information and Reports
- Resource Planning
- Staff and Budget Management
