DEVELOPMENT AND SUPPORT OFFICER / EARLY YEARS PRACTITIONER

FIFE

  • 35 hours per week over 44 weeks per annum (8 week non-working period over the summer)
  • £19,190 - £20,770 per annum pro-rata; paid monthly including during the non-working period
  • Home based with travel throughout the Fife area. Applicants should have own transport insured for business use.
  • 20 days annual leave in the first year rising to 30 days thereafter, pro-rata (additional to the non-working period)
  • 12 public holidays are recognised by EYS per annum pro-rata
  • Qualifications:  Applicants’ qualifications must be consistent with those required to register as a Practitioner with SSSC (e.g. Early Education and Childcare or SVQ Level 3 Children’s Care, Learning and Development)          

This combined post offers guaranteed variety with unique challenges and opportunities at every turn and no two days alike!

  • The Development and Support Officer element will support and advise early years settings (such as playgroups and Parent and Toddler groups) to offer curriculum and business support and ensure that they are equipped to stay afloat, compliant and thriving.
  • The Early Years Practitioner element will involve the direct delivery of play and learning sessions and workshops, such as baby massage and baby sensory sessions, with very young children and their families.
