Located in St Patrick's Family Learning Centre, Kilsyth you will deputise for the Head of Centre and assist in all aspects of management in line with Council Policies for Pre-5's. You will assist with activities and undertake direct supervisory responsibilities for functions prescribed by the Head of Centre, e.g. curriculum links with parents and special needs.
An SVQ4, HND in Early Years and Childcare or a degree, professional qualification or equivalent level in a relevant discipline is essential, as is effective communication skills and genuine interest in child welfare and development. You should have extended experience in an early years setting along with leadership qualities and experience of leading a team. You must have knowledge and understanding of legislation affecting young children and their families, e.g. Children and Young People Act 2014 and the ability to address the needs of both staff and children in a supportive manner. An enthusiasm for staff development opportunities is desirable, as is experience in a promoted post.
Work Pattern: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday am
