The James Young High Schoolis a six year comprehensive In Livingston South,which serves the communities of Bankton,Bellsquarry, Dedridge and Williamston primary schools.We are supported by an active Parent Council.The roll for session 2016-2017 is 1130 pupils.Around twenty five percent of our pupils are enrolled as placing requests from out with the catchment. We are looking for two enthusiastic and skilled Support for LearningTeachers with drive andambition,who are committed to improvement and excellence. You will be joining the school at an exciting time where we are working with existing staff tobuild a new team structure, closely linked with our House Structure. There will be opportunities to play a leading role in ensuring the vision for support for learning reflects the aspirations of theschool in meeting the needs of all our pupils.You should be committed to further raising achievement of ourpupils, with a particular focus on literacy and numeracy skills,and be able to demonstrate an active interest in current educational developments. The specific duties relating to this support for learning post will be discussed at interview.
