As part of the Business, Administration and Information Technology team you will deliver a wide range of Unite Education Programmes to Unite Representatives including the following subject areas:

  • Health and Safety
  • Equality
  • The Role of Learning Representatives
  •  IT
  • The Role of Workplace Representatives

You will contribute to the overall effectiveness of the curricular area, assisting team members and the Curriculum Manager in recruiting students and evaluating learning and teaching. Support the achievement of the operational and strategic objectives set out in the College Regional Outcome Agreement.

You must be qualified to HND/Degree (SCQF Level 8 or 9), or, SVQ Level 4/5 in the relevant vocational area, or, hold the highest level qualification in the relevant discipline to the subject area being taught.

In addition, you will hold a Unite National Advanced Communication Skills and Tutor Training Certificates and be a lay activist of Unite. With recent experience of teaching Unite Education you will have excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire and motivate others.

You will have the ability to inspire, encourage and motivate others together with the desire to make a real difference to our students.

The post requires you to fulfil the duties of the role in various locations throughout Scotland on behalf of the College temporarily or permanently to fulfil your obligations to the post to which you have been appointed.
