EMPLOYABILITY PROJECT WORKER (SMARTLIVING – LINK TO WORK)
25 HOURS PER WEEK
FIXED TERM FOR 12 MONTHS
LinkLiving have been providing specialist services to encourage health, wellbeing and independence for over 25 years.
SmartLiving is our award-winning project which helps people improve their employability skills.
We provide one-to-one practical and emotional support along with access to accredited training. SmartLiving has an excellent track record of supporting young people to take the next step towards securing a job.
We work in partnership with other agencies such as youth groups, mainstream education, careers services, employability services, Job Centres, and other voluntary organisations. It is through these partnerships that we can engage with people who may benefit from getting involved with SmartLiving.
Link to Work is a 13-week Employability course for people in Falkirk. The course gives individuals the opportunity to develop their confidence, self-esteem and employability skills as well as gaining valuable work experience and gaining an SQA accreditation.
An exciting opportunity has become available for an Employability Project Worker to join Smartliving’s Link to Work project.
The purpose of the role is to deliver employability courses and provide support to individuals who are unemployed and assist them into a positive destination.
The Employability Project Worker will provide support and offer guidance to course participants, develop relationships with other agencies and services and actively promote employability and volunteer services.
They will be responsible for the recruitment, training and support of course participants whilst providing monitoring information in relation to the project’s outcomes.
What is required
Experience of developing and delivering training
Ability to undertake SQA Assessor role/qualification
Knowledge and understanding of the employability sector and employer engagement for work experience placements
Effective communication skills including excellent written, verbal and IT skills
Non judgemental attitude and willingness to embrace diversity
