Qualified Master Technician Required for Prestige Main Dealer in Scotland

This is an exciting opportunity for a fully skilled Master Technician to service and maintain quality vehicles and to work for part of a large reputable Motor Group in the South West. The ideal candidate must hold up to date relevant training and qualifications and be able to bring these to an interview to support their application.
Candidates will be fully qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent. An MOT smart card would be an advantage, or applicants looking to become testers are also welcome to apply.
Ideally candidate will have experience within a prestige dealership, however experience with volume brands will be considered, however you must have at least 2yrs post apprentice experience with a main dealership.
You will be required to carry out repair, diagnose, repair and service sales work on the range in accordance with the Company and Manufacturer’s standards, ensuring that each customer receives excellent customer service.
As a Tester/prep technician, your Key Objectives will be –
Through the use of diagnostic equipment and a systematic approach, ensure vehicle faults are diagnosed and rectified.
Meet with customers to identify and clearly understand problems as and when required.
Ensure full understanding of latest technology introduced on the vehicle range and how to diagnose and repair faults on them.
Carry out diagnosis, repairs and servicing to the highest standards and to the appropriate specification.
Ensure all work is carried out observing safe working practices of self and others.
Liaise and seek advice from colleagues and supervisors in situations that are over and above work specified.
Check level and quality of work through use of diagnostic equipment and road testing vehicles after work has been carried out, liaising with Service Advisor/s and the Sales team.
Complete relevant service documentation (Job sheets, PDI’s, service reports) in line with HSO, warranty and Manufacturer Centre requirements.
Ensure that workshop housekeeping standards are maintained at all times including the use of special and personal tools.
Work with other workshop and colleagues to provide excellent customer service. Share best practice when appropriate.
