Traffic Engineer

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Traffic Engineer and would consider a senior traffic engineer, to work on a staff basis for our client on public sector projects within their traffic engineering / accident investigation and prevention transportation department.

The successful candidate will be required to assist with traffic scheme design and implementation, the preparation of works including resource and materials, and conduct site assessment and investigation visits. The successful candidate will also be required to provide system design support utilising a range of design tools.

Duties will include:

Participating and leading on traffic and AIP scheme projects through the full project lifecycle

Support projects covering key lines / key signs / barriers / speed limitations and accident blackspot recommendations

Working in a broad and diverse engineering team on the delivery of major projects as well as the delivery of smaller projects independently

Supporting the engineering lead on resource allocation and project management

A background in civil engineering or equivalent to HNC/BTEC or degree level in addition with proven design and site experience is required in order to be considered for this position. Our client is also seeking an individual with experience in the delivery of projects, mentoring and developing a team, ability to work to tight deadlines with strong communication and commercial management skills.
