We are currently recruiting for a Controls Engineer.  The role is based in Dumbarton, Scotland.

The Role

Working within a busy Controls department, the role is to take ownership of new and existing projects with regards to design, program, test and commissioning of control systems for the Diamond Power Specialty range of products.

Initially the role is to complement the existing skill set within the department with strong PLC configuration and programming skills.  The role will also require the successful candidate to produce panel hardware designs, BOMs and various project documentation.  A key aspect of the role will involve essential travel to sites as required to meet operational demands and customer needs. 

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will hold a Degree in a relevant discipline with 3 or more years of experience in a design environment.  Relevant experience in manufacturing or another control engineering environment is also valued.  Strong knowledge in PLC & HMI/SCADA programming is highly desirable, with either Allen Bradley or Siemens preferred.  Other desirable skills and experience includes industrial communication networks, electrical control circuit design & control system commissioning.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated, committed to handling multiple projects and possess excellent communication skills.
