Their growing portfolio of complex marine, ports and harbour projects will provide you with the chance to flex your engineering muscle with fresh engineering challenges to engage you on a daily basis. In addition to providing technical support, you will take a lead in the interface with clients and other third parties, representing the company in high level discussions, giving you the opportunity to influence and shape the successful delivery of projects. Whilst focusing initially on projects based in Scotland, you will also have the opportunity to travel across the UK, providing useful engineering insight on projects in other parts of the country.
What will the role entail?
You will be reporting in to the Divisional Director and supporting/leading junior members of staff to deliver design and technical specifications for Ports and Harbours including structural concrete, pile design, geotechnics and dredging. You will also play a vital part in the continued success of the company by contributing to bids, proposals and other marketing submissions.
What do you need to apply?
Ideally you will be a fully Chartered Civil Design Engineer (ICE, IEI or equivalent), however Senior Engineers on route to be becoming chartered may also be considered. You should also ideally have extensive experience in the design of ports and other marine structures but candidate with a solid grounding in civil design for other types of projects will also be of interest. You should be knowledgeable in UK Design Codes and Euro Codes.
