We have a fantastic opportunity for Electrical Fitters to join our Transmission Operations Team , with the opportunity to be based in Dundee. As part of SSE, this group is responsible for the Transmission Networks across the North of Scotland. As a fitter within Transmission Operations, you'll be helping to deliver SSE's maintenance programme on the Transmission Network. This is a key role in helping to maintain the network for SSE. You'll predominantly carry out maintenance duties on SSE electrical networks up to 132/ 275 & 400 kV. You'll also be involved in construction works and ensuring best value for money. Safety would be your number one priority, ensuring that all operational works are carried out to the highest standards.
Suitable candidates for this role will preferably have a proven track record of working in HV with a power distribution (or similar) company, combined with a City and Guilds Part 232 electrical apprenticeship. You must be adaptable, self-motivated and flexible enough to work away from base location. A current UK driving licence is essential.
