ENGINEERING GRADUATE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME 2017 - REGISTER YOUR INTEREST
Starting Salary circa £27,500
Excellent Career Progression Opportunities
SSE will soon be launching it's Graduate Development Programme recruitment campaign. In the meantime, you can register your interest by clicking on the link below and we will contact you when our campaign for live applications begins in September or October 2016.
SSE's Engineering Graduate programme has produced professional and skilled engineers who have developed successful careers within SSE for over 10 years. As one of the UK's largest and most diverse energy companies, we're keen to invest in our organisation by identifying the engineering graduates of the future. So we're looking for bright, ambitious graduates from engineering disciplines to join our 2016 Graduate programme.
Due to the broad range of businesses within SSE, there are various engineering opportunities and levels of development programme we can offer and primarily we are looking for candidates from an Electrical, Mechanical, Civil or Chemical engineering background. Our roles can involve working in the great outdoors, experiencing the challenges of rugged terrain in all weather conditions through to creating innovative, real-life design solutions. SSE can offer an exciting and progressive career where you receive support and encouragement to help you reach your career goals.
We invite applicants with an MEng. in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil or Chemical to register and there may be some consideration of BEng candidates with a minimum of a 2.2. The discipline, type and level of your degree, along with any relevant work experience, will determine the type of role and location available to you. More information will be made available when we contact you later in the year when we launch our recruitment campaign.
In addition to your academic qualifications you will have had previous experience in a team environment and will be used to setting and achieving targets and using your own initiative to overcome challenges. You should be industrious, highly organised and self-driven with the ability to deliver to tight schedules.
You should possess an adaptable approach to work to maximise your chances of success, and you will required to be comfortable working alone or as part of a team. We are looking for candidates who maintain the highest standards, actively promoting SSE's Core Values particularly our Safety value and you should excite us with your creative thinking and ability to innovate.
Although our Programme may take you around the UK during your placements across different business areas largely, in previous years base locations have often included: Perth, Aberdeen, Glasgow, Ferrybridge in Yorkshire, Slough, Reading, Poole and Portsmouth. However this is just an indication as to where your base location could be as we do not yet have confirmed locations for the 2017 Programme.
Please note: This is purely a registration of your interest so we can keep you updated on our Graduate Development Programme vacancies. Once the recruitment campaign begins you will be notified via the email you provide here and you will then need to complete a full application form.
