This emerging name is Anaerobic Digestion technology who are implementing their technology into the UK market are looking to capitalise on their intellectual property and revolutionise the way that waste and wastewater is being treated.

As a result of growth within their Scottish operation they are currently looking to recruit an experienced Maintenance Manager for their AD plant which is based in the middle of the Speyside Whisky triangle.

The purpose of this role is to provide the on-site support to the operational team and to ensure the Site/Area Leader is available to ensure continual production and improvement of the AD plant outputs, and to support/monitor the maintenance regimes and systems for site.

As the successful candidate you will act as the Maintenance Leader will be part of the team responsible for delivery of maintenance activities at each site. You will establish close working relationships with Site/Area Leader as well as other cross functional departments is required. 

Technically you will be exposed to engineering elements including production of gas into grid for 40Mwh, electrical production of 10,000Mwh per annum and the maintenance operations of £16m of plant and associated equipment.

You will be responsible for the delivery of maintenance programmes in line with maintenance budgets and the development of root cause analysis and continual improvement regimes and behaviours.

You will Identification of capital improvement spends for continuous improvement, ensure all statutory inspection and testing requirements are carried out to meet all compliance standards and integrate and fully implement maintenance systems using planned and preventive maintenance methodologies.

To be successful in this role you will be qualified with a relevant engineering degree and detailed experience showing leadership in Maintenance management, being able to implement maintenance systems to environment where a lot of the maintenance infrastructure will need to be built as you go along with the role.

Ideally you will have previously worked on a plant containing an Anaerobic Digestor or a Wastewater treatment plant where you would have had to make process decisions based on analysis results, calling on support from Process support team as necessary.

You will know how to implement a KPI metric system based on performance management of the maintenance team and to be able to identify and propose improvements in all aspects of maintenance in keeping with a continuous improvement culture. There is a strong emphasis on Process and Continuous Improvement in the role.

You will have been previously responsible with quality, environmental and health and safety policies and procedures, and with statutory requirements of direct relevance to their operations.

In this role the client are looking for someone to lead their Maintenance division, however given the start up element of this site, it will require the successful candidate to be hands on and lead by example. This role will potentially involve call outs at any time during the course of the day. This role is suited towards an experienced Maintenance Manager who leads by example and isn’t afraid to still be hands on in a dynamic fast paced environment.
