Being one of the dominant entities within the UK’s Renewable Energy landscape, there onshore Windfarm portfolio is one of their most key attributes to their Energy portfolio. Operating one of the largest Wind farms in the East Lothian area of Scotland they are looking to recruit a Site Operations Planner to assist the Site Manager to ensure that the Wind farm runs smoothly and efficiently.

Reporting to the Site Manager, you will be responsible for the planning and co-ordination of all wind farm operations and maintenance activities onsite. The role will also support in preparation and submission of site reporting requirements and assist in the monitoring of expiration of training and statutory inspections.

Additionally you will be responsible for the operations and maintenance planning of the turbines, balance of plant and HV servicing and maintenance equipment, you will work with the Site Manager to ensure these activities will be planned to maximize the operational output of the wind farm. The Planner will prepare and own the Gantt Chart.

You will assist the Site Manager in ensuring the correct management and storage of spare parts and supply of spare parts is always on hand and accessible. You will co-ordinate work needed to maintain the upkeep of all turbine servicing tools and specialist equipment including, calibrated tools, test equipment and lifting equipment. You will work with the Lead Technicians with this responsibility.

You will be the point of contact and administrator of the operations maintenance management system and assist the Site Manager to ensure that all staff on site complete documentation and administrative tasks correctly and in a timely manner. You will ensure that all internal and external reporting requirements and met and are compliant.

You will have to carry out all activities associated with the role according to Company processes and regulations; legislative requirements and guidelines; plus industry best practice. Additionally you will carry out all activities associated with the role to the highest standard of quality and according to the quality management system.

You will support the Site Manager to ensure all activities on the site comply with the necessary standards for health, safety, environment and quality. Periodically you will need to act on behalf of the Site Manager to liaise with HR, and QESH departments to ensure all service staff are in date for Statutory and Company training qualifying them for wind farm maintenance and operations activities, you will need to keep a record of this training. Additionally you will need to track certification of PPE and PFPE where required to ensure inspections are kept within the required dates according to statutory regulations

To be successful in this role you will be qualified to a minimum of HNC/HND in a relevant engineering topic and have previous experience working at a Wind farm where you have learnt how operations and maintenance are managed. Given your educational background and career to date you will have a developed aptitude for mechanical / electrical systems and processes

Given your previous experience working on a Wind farm you will understand and have an intimate knowledge of Wind Turbine Safety Rules (Ver3). You will also be a proven advocate for Health and Safety and lead by example for all aspects of Safety both onsite and offsite.
