To further consolidate and strengthen their team supporting wind turbine service and maintenance, they are looking for 10 fully committed and qualified Wind Turbine Technicians to join their site on the outskirts of Glasgow.

Description

The successful Wind Turbine Technician will possess the following responsibilities:

  • Ability to work independently performing fault analyses and repair of wind turbine generator systems, including clarification of any client queries
  • Planned and preventive maintenance of wind turbine generator systems
  • Documentation of call-out responses, fault finding and repair work in service reports, logbooks and checklist
  • Coordination of external and internal service providers and contractors on site
  • Contact person for client technical queries, such as retrofits and repairs

Profile

  • Professional training in electrical engineering sector (electrician, power electronics system, mechatronic engineer, electromechanical)
  • Familiar with MS-Office operating system
  • Familiar with PLCs
  • High degree of quality awareness; excellent fault finding and diagnostic skills combined with the ability to detect and remedy faults, defects, problems. Structured approach to problem solving
  • Team player, cooperative, interested in further development
  • Able to work at heights
  • High degree of flexibility highly motivated with the ability to work under pressure
  • Willing to work some weekends as part of an on call rota
  • Full driving licence

Desired Characteristics:

  • Electrical/ mechanical service or maintenance experience would be an advantage

Job Offer

Hourly rate depending on experience, starting immediately or as soon as available. Mechanical or electrical bias. Overtime available.
