Contract: Grade 4, fixed term full time position until 31 March 2018, with a possibility of extension.
We have an opportunity for you to join the Transport team, to manage the successful delivery of the Challenge Fund and other work related to the Low Carbon Travel and Transport Challenge Fund on behalf of Transport Scotland.
You will manage a small team and oversee the provision of analysis, advice, support and recommendations on the design, operation and maintenance of the Challenge Fund in accordance with the timescales and requirements specified by Transport Scotland. This will include, establishing accurate and transparent processes for monitoring and reporting performance, prepare and maintain budgets for all aspects of the deliverables, ensure compliance is met in regards to EST procedures and all relevant EU legislation, maintain a risk register and provide monthly analysis on all key metrics. You will also manage and monitor performance of contractors involved in the Challenge Fund.
Your ability to design and deliver funds and knowledge of procedural and legislative aspects of funding, including EU legislation alongside your programme management skills will be fundamental to your effective performance. Additionally, effective communication skills to engage with a broad range of stakeholders will underpin the successful delivery of this programme.
