Project Management OfficerVacancy posted: Saturday, 1 October 2016
E-Serve is changing. We’re growing into a new and more autonomous organisation with a sole focus on energy policy delivery and administration. This role offers candidates an opportunity to join an organisation at an exciting period of change and expansion and will appeal to adaptable, self-starters looking for a challenging and rewarding role.
This is an opportunity for an experienced project manager to plan, co-ordinate and deliver projects as part of a substantial organisational change programme. You’ll be part of our Strategy and Business Support team, which will set the overall direction and framework in which E-Serve will continue to manage the environmental and social schemes administered by Ofgem. You must be adept at managing stakeholders, skilled at managing performance and capable of establishing and maintaining critical frameworks for managing risks, actions, issues and decisions. By working collaboratively, you will balance different work streams and identify cross-cutting opportunities as each project progresses.
You must hold a recognised project management qualification (e.g. Prince 2) or demonstrate considerable practical experience. Excellent numerical and analytical skills are essential, with strong attention to detail and outstanding communication skills. Flexible, organised and capable of grasping the initiative and solving problems, you will be able to interact confidently with stakeholders and colleagues at every level of the organisation. Experience of providing secretariat support to project boards is also vital, by collating project data and producing accessible reporting packs for diverse, multi-level audiences.
Ofgem can offer you a comprehensive and competitive benefits package, which includes:
- Up to 30 days’ annual leave
- Excellent training and development opportunities
- The opportunity to join the Civil Service pension arrangements, which include a valuable range of benefits
- Flexible working hours and family friendly policies
- Subsidised gym and restaurant (London only)
- Interest free season ticket loan.
Closing date: 9am, 3rd October 2016.
