The purpose of this role is to consistently deliver commercial, predictive financial modelling capabilities which provide significant insight that drives executive decision making for product pricing, credit score cut-off, investment appraisals, business performance and risk appetite
This business has a significant change agenda and the successful applicant must be comfortable operating in that environment.
Summary of the responsibilities the jobholder will have:
*Responsible for running and interpreting the outputs of the profitability models to support the bank in making financially sound business decisions.
*Leading the analysis of the outputs, clearly communicate key findings to stakeholders and customers through presentations and/or written reports.
*Ensure the financial models are suitable and fit for purpose by supporting their development, production and maintenance, and using a critical eye to highlight any concerns with the models or associated data capture.
*Populate and produce weekly, monthly and quarterly reports covering a wide variety of products and topics, while also supporting the delivery of enhancements to these reports and ad-hoc queries which could originate from other areas.
*Assumptions in the models are sourced from multiple sources, and as such you'll proactively engage with and develop fantastic working relationships with all our customers and stakeholders across the entire Group.
To be considered for the role you must have considerable financial modelling expertise, financial services product or risk knowledge, be commercially aware and have used SAS Enterprise Guide to build models.
It is expected the successful applicant will be conversant in the dynamics of profitability and be able to bridge the gap between technical specialists and commercial business partners. You must be able to demonstrate awareness of the 'bigger picture' and have the confidence and ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders. The jobholder should be comfortable having technical discussions with subject matter experts pertaining to capital requirements, impairments and income / expenditure.
