Salary: £18,963 per annum

Overview of the post and information about the team
The Income Assistant will join the income team comprising of two Retail Accounting Officers, one Compliance Officer and one part time Sales Ledger Officer. The income team sits within the Financial Operations section of Finance.
The primary responsibility of the post is to ensure accurate and prompt processing of sales invoice requests for the organisation as well as carry out credit control.
The Finance Operations section is one group within the finance unit of Historic Environment Scotland. The Finance unit, under the Director of Finance, is responsible for the control of a budget of in excess of £85 million and provides comprehensive support to all business areas within the organisation.
Key responsibilities, duties and objectives
Reporting to the Income Manager, you will work with the other Sales Ledger Officer primarily raising invoices for our on line customers as well as carrying out credit control and issuing statements and reminder letters. You will also handle correspondence via the generic mail box dealing with both internal and external queries. You will be required to provide cover for the other Sales Ledger Officer.
In addition to sales ledger duties, you will carry out other finance ad hoc tasks as required.
