Quarriers Village Supported Living provides a supporting living service to adults with disabilities.
We are looking for a volunteer support worker/driver to support people within their own tenancies or to enable to go out to activities.
To enable the adults supported by the service to get involved in activities in the community on Saturdays and to drive/escort people to Renfrew Club on Thursday evening from 6.30 – 9.00 pm .
REQUIRED SKILLS, QUALITIES & EXPERIENCE:
- Driving for more than 2 year
- Sense of humour
- Good Communicator
- You mut be capable of supporting people with learning disabilities.
WHERE & WHEN:
Thursday evenings and/or Saturdays.
To get the most out of the role a commitment of 6 months would be required.
TRAINING & SUPPORT PROVIDED:
- Adult Protection
- Core Values (Introduction to Quarriers)
- Health & Safety
- Data Protection
- Condition Specific training when required
- Regular support meetings throughout duration of involvement.
Project has it’s own transport for volunteer to use when volunteering.
