Quarriers Village Supported Living Service provides supported living services for adults with disabilities.

A volunteer is required to assist a gentleman supported by the service to get involved in the local community.

MAIN TASKS:

If you would enjoy visiting visiting places with the person such as museums café, pub, cinema, ten pin bowling as well as going for walks in the village then this is for you. The gentlemen would also like help to use his computer.

REQUIRED SKILLS, QUALITIES & EXPERIENCE:

Patience, understanding ability to be assertive and make decisions as well as basic computer skills. Being a driver would be an advantage.

WHERE & WHEN:

Quarriers Village, Bridge of Weir and local area.
Mondays, Tuesdays or Thursdays.

TRAINING & SUPPORT PROVIDED:

Induction, Adult Protection, Core Values (Introduction to Quarriers) Health & Safety, Data Protection, Condition Specific training when required.

Regular support meetings throughout duration of volunteer involvement.

RESTRICTIONS:

Would like a female volunteer.

TRANSPORT:

Service has it’s own vehicle to be used to transport People we support.

SELECTION PROCEDURE:

Application form, chat with staff and person you will be befriending as well as references and PVG disclosure.
