Fred Martin service provides supported accommodation across seven locations in north Glasgow and provides for a range of abilities and needs.
One of the services provide 24 hour support to 3 adults with learning disabilities aged between 39 and 49.
We are looking for a volunteer activity worker to support the individuals out in the community such as going for a coffee, going to the cinema as well as baking while ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the people we support.
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
The purpose of this role to enable vulnerable adults to enjoy activities they choose in the local community.
REQUIRED SKILLS, QUALITIES & EXPERIENCE:
- Good interpersonal skills
- person centred
- trust worthy
- willing to learn
WHERE AND WHEN:
Meeting adults at North West Glasgow service and going out n h community once per week.
Commitment to regular hours at least once a week to be carried out early evenings and weekends.
TRAINING & SUPPORT PROVIDED:
- Quarriers mandatory training
- calm training
- support and supervision
