Community Development Officer, Fixed Term for 1 year

Inverclyde Alliance wishes to develop an asset based community development approach to locality planning with this new post being used to identify methodologies for bringing partners and communities together to jointly regenerate the Broomhill area, as well as identify opportunities for local people.

The post holder will encourage the community of Broomhill to be more self-confident and cohesive, and to improve quality of life for local residents. They will also be tasked with engaging local people to be community researchers and community champions. 

The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level and have experience of Community Development, partnership working with other organisation, sourcing funding and recruiting and managing volunteers.
