Events And Fundraising Volunteer Team Member

We have a number of volunteer roles for anyone who may be interested in volunteering within the Fundraising Events Team.

  • Can Collecting Co-ordinator
  • Community
  • Attending events
  • Festival of Choirs
  • General

The volunteers will assist the team with the delivery of events to generate additional income for the organisation and raise awareness of the work Quarriers carries out.

MAIN TASKS WILL INCLUDE:

Admin Role

  • Data entry – Processing info on RE
  • Mail shots
  • Counting money
  • Sending thanks you letters
  • Filing/Shredding/Scanning
  • Update databases

Can Collecting – transport required

Ideally would like a volunteer co-ordinator for this role to manage the placement and collection of all our cans that are in various locations

Community

  • Village tours
  • Community group talks, schools, churches etc.

Attending events

  • Collecting raffles and selling tickets, working tables etc. at events such as Noel Lunch and Ladies Day, golf days
  • Manning Stalls at events
  • Meet and greet guests, visitors
  • Working in our pop up cafes at various events
  • Assist with set-up and de-rig at events
  • Selling merchandise at spring/Christmas fayres

Festival of Choirs

  • Attending this event in Princes Square in the run up to Christmas
  • Cash Handling/banking money
  • Reporting on income generated back to the team
  • Introducing the Choirs

General

  • Bucket collections
  • Bag packing
  • Assist with sourcing prizes etc. for all types of events

REQUIRED SKILLS, QUALITIES & EXPERIENCE:

  • MS Proficient
  • Flexible approach
  • Good organisational skills
  • Good communicator for external activities

WHERE & WHEN:

Various – in Quarriers Village, Bridge of Weir or onsite at events/activities

COMMITMENT REQUIRED:

Negotiable depending on commitment of the applicant

TRAINING & SUPPORT PROVIDED:

  • Induction to Quarriers
  • Equal and Diversity
  • As well as On the job training

RESTRICTIONS:

  • Ability to travel to Quarriers Village and external events
  • Overall good health and level of fitness required

MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT:

18
