Renfrewshire Supported Living Service supports adults with learning and physical disabilities within their homes and out in the community.
We support a 53 year old lady with learning difficulties in the Johnstone area and looking for a volunteer befriender.
PURPOSE OF THIS ROLE:
The purpose of this role is for the lady to enjoy trips out on a Saturday.
This will be to accompany the lady out to enjoy various activities.
REQUIRED SKILLS, QUALITIES AND EXPERIENCE:
- Good communicator
WHERE AND WHEN:
This opportunity will take place in the Paisley and Johnstone area.
To get the most out of the opportunity it would great if you can commit to at least 6 months.
TRAINING AND SUPPORT:
- Adult protection
- Safer handling
Female only and due to the nature of the role the minimum age would be 30 years old.
If volunteers wish to use their own transport, they will need business insurance.
