Renfrewshire Supported Living Service supports adults with learning and physical disabilities within their homes and out in the community.
We support a lady of 50 years old with a mild learning disability. She is very social and a lovely lady to spend time with. She enjoys listening to music and baking.
PURPOSE OF THIS ROLE:
To help GB socialise out in the community and also someone to spend time with, have a chat and a cup of tea.
Light cooking, assisting G in the community, to and from the shops. Also supporting G with light daily duties and going to clubs that she enjoys.
REQUIRED SKILLS, QUALITIES AND EXPERIENCE:
- Good communicator
- good motivator
To get the most out of the opportunity it would great if you can commit to at least 6 months.
TRAINING AND SUPPORT:
- Adult protection
- Safer handling
A female over the age of 30 years old is preferred. This has been requested by the person supported.
If volunteers wish to use their own transport, they will need business insurance.

Interested volunteer would be welcome to come along to the project to meet with the people we support.
