Scottish Borders Council is seeking an Equality & Diversity Advisor.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in embedding Equality & Diversity across the Council, providing support to departments on the implementation of agreed Equality Outcomes, reviewing the provision of training, and collecting and reporting information and statistics to internal and external parties. You will also be extensively involved in the drafting and publication of the Council's Equality Mainstreaming Report.
Holding an HND or equivalent qualification or having gained equivalent experience in the field of Equality & Diversity, you will have experience of project management, and be proficient in research and effective report writing. You will be able to work effectively with a degree of autonomy. Previous local government experience is desirable but not essential.
HND level or equivalent or evidence of comparable experience, plus subsequent relevant training in this specialist field.
