Vacancy posted: Monday, 10 October 2016

Salary: 22,439 - 24,301 pro rata
Location: Edinburgh

Closing date: 30 October 2016

RNIB Group is embarking on a huge period of change. By 2019 we want to triple the number of people with sight loss we are supporting. We simply cannot reach these targets without a significant uplift in the people who support us by volunteering. Our volunteer recruitment team is newly formed to locate and recruit the right people into our portfolio of exciting volunteer roles.

As a Volunteering Recruitment Officer, you will help design exciting and attractive volunteer opportunities, and implement innovative, cutting edge approaches to volunteer recruitment which identify skilled, committed and engaged people who can make positive contributions to our charity. You will manage a workload of volunteering opportunities, screening candidates, brokering them in to the right role for both them, and us.

With extensive experience in volunteering good practice, including selection, motivation and coordination, you will be a positive advocate of the benefits of volunteering, and understand the relationship between charities and their volunteers. You will be able to engage applicants with the opportunities we have to offer them, and make them want to volunteer for us. You will be able to handle a significant workload, and work effectively as part of a team that has to engage a large number of volunteers without compromising on quality.

In exchange we offer a competitive salary, a stimulating and supportive working environment and a benefits package including:

  • 26 days holiday per year (plus bank holidays), which increase with service.
  • Excellent pension schemes
