Lead the business by setting ambitious goals for your team to grow metrics such as customer engagement, sales, video streams, first purchase in a category and native advertising revenue, internal HR tools and a number of exciting new R&D projects. You will be driving growth through innovation and partnerships with country leaders, category leaders and device teams. Regularly review the business metrics, ensuring anomalies are investigated and opportunities identified. Line management for your team of software engineers, product managers and technology managers. You will own and run a number of very exciting greenfield products working in one of the most technically advanced teams in the Scottish market place.
Ensure that your team are building scalable, maintainable, high performance systems and making appropriate use of modern techniques such as machine learning, big data and cloud computing techniques.
Ensure that systems work at low latency and high throughput across all marketplaces and devices, including during Q4 where the system serves over 1 million transactions per second at peak.
We are seeking an exceptional individual lead teams of engineers for our clients global site, you will be responsible for all aspects of the business, including developing new products, customer experience, technology and operations. " Need to have led a major business/product, ideally for an international company. " Large scale project management skills for an Agile environment. " Strong track record in leading a technology team working at high scale and complexity. " You will likely hold a Computer Science degree and have been a software engineer in the past with a solid grounding in operating systems, programming languages, data structures etc. " Excellent track record in best practices with software engineering, including agile methods, automated testing, continuous integration and source control. " Highly numerate; able to produce and work with financial models. " Strong written and spoken English.
Although not essential a background Mathematics, statistics or business qualifications would be highly desirable along with leading teams within big data, machine learning and cloud computing preferably within an international business. .
