About the role
This is a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of a cross-government transformation programme: The Way We Work. It’s all about creating a better working environment and improved processes for staff. As Programme Manager, you’ll lead the delivery of exciting and challenging changes. Across a varied and geographically dispersed workforce, you will be instrumental to maximising flexible and collaborative smart working. Projects already underway include Cloud Transformation for ICT, reconfiguration of our Knowledge and Information Management systems, and a transformation of survey and inspection activity.
Your remit will go beyond IT tools and business approach to include workplace layout and improved furniture. Ultimately, you will empower people to make the most of their potential, leading to better services for customers and greater efficiency. Starting with a clearly defined approach, you will develop a programme plan, then provide clear direction in the monitoring and delivery of diverse programme objectives. As well as providing inspirational leadership to cross-functional teams, you will forge strong relationships with stakeholders across the Agency.
To be equal to the challenge, you’ll need experience of managing a wide ranging programme, with a proven knowledge and understanding within area of The Way We Work. A driven and persuasive leader, your track record demonstrates a talent for motivating cross-functional teams through challenging business and cultural changes. The ability to provide detailed and extensive coordination, prioritisation and direction across multiple projects is essential. You’ll also need a flair for benchmarking activity against market leading practice.
Please note, you will join us for an initial 18 month period. We will expect you to travel to sites around the UK, with overnight stays.
