About the Team

Trax organization is innovating new ways to extract value from logistics data.  Helping the largest global buyers and sellers in the logistics industry.  This team curates data to extract value for buyers and sellers that improves their bottom-line and identifies hidden opportunity.  Our team turns raw data into meaningful and actionable information while innovating in data science.  The Data Programming team is paired with our logistics analysts in Asia, Europe and the Americas.  

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Your focus is on technical data analysis and must learn quickly

  • You must be creative, curious, tenacious and focused to prospect for value in data

  • You will work in a team paired with business analysts from around the world to encode their knowledge.

  • You will work with one of the most robust and powerful data sets in the world.  

  • You will turn wild data into trusted data for logistics and financial use cases.  

  • You will work alongside the data science team and logistics data groups to help design methods that produce trusted data.  Passionate, business-minded data technologists will work in a highly innovative environment alongside talented programmers, engineers, and analysts.

  • You can expect your responsibilities to grow as demonstrate mastery and an ability to work autonomously.  

  • Turns the fog of ambiguous data into knowledge that models reality

Work Experience & Skills

  • Must be creative, disciplined and tenacious.

  • Can demonstrate data skills with prior experience and examples.

  • Knows how to use an analytical tool set to mine and manipulate data.

  • Focused on business value focused, with demonstrable analytical skills for finding patterns in data

  • Can communicate and collaborate well with other business-minded professionals

  • Experience with any query language, preferably MS SQL

  • Experience with transforming and manipulating JSON is a plus

  • Experience with languages Python or Perl is a plus.
