About the DevOps Consultant Role:
As the world of IT Development changes and progresses more and more, the need for people to support the development aspects and harmony of work rapidly grows and DevOps Engineers have become a very important need for this company as they look to improve on the delivery of projects the coherent working of various departments, technologies and systems. You will be jointly responsible for their systems that enables in-house and cloud based environments to work correctly. You will ensure the working infrastructure is maintained, updated, etc to allow various activities with IT to run time and time again and operate a tracking system for monitoring performance and identifying issues. We have 1 open opportunity currently with an expectation that this will further increase over the next 18 months.
You will be a real team player and always striving to have working systems with no delays or issues.
Strong communication is vital here as is the ability to engage with people from various teams and with senior managers updating on projects and real-time scenarios/issues as-and-when with the IT Manager being your immediate point of contact and reporting line.
Hands on DevOps experience is critical here with experience of DevOps tools such as Puppet, Chef or PowerShell essential whilst experience of Azure would be great.
Further technical skills required include SQL Server, Active Directory, Windows Server, Amazon AWS and System Centre Configuration Manager too.

Interviews will be one stage where possible if in person however where a person is not local, they will conduct the first stage via telephone or Skype and will cover travel costs for candidates who are not local and would have a significant cost to attend. Notice periods of up to 3 months will be considered.
Salaries of £30,000 to £50,000 will be considered but are of course subject to experience.
