Trainee Tram Driver
Starting salary of £20,280 rising to £26,364 based on competency reviews at month 12, 24 and 36 + free staff travel Ridacard and discounted family travel.

We are looking for people with the right set of skills and abilities to work as Tram Drivers. Working within a team and with key stakeholders to ensure trams are driven to a timetable and provide exceptional customer service for the people and visitors of Edinburgh.
The successful candidate will have the ability and desire to work safely, be flexible and deliver customer service excellence, with a full UK drivers licence held for a minimum of two years, with no more than 3 penalty points. They will also have well developed concentration and communication skills.
About the role
During training candidates will be required to be flexible around what hours they work, please note this sometimes includes nightshifts. You will be learning to drive trams in and around the depot or between the depot, Edinburgh Airport and York Place.
Post training you will be delivering a service to the travelling public working either an early, mid or late shift driving trams to a timetable. This is organised on a roster of 40 hours average per week, over 7 calendar days 364 days a year (our only closure day is Christmas Day). Shifts start as early as 0430 and finish as late as 0015. Stage 1 - Assessment Centre - Planned for 9th November 2016.
Stage 2 - Needle Video Interview - Planned for 12th-17th November 2016.
Stage 3 - Verbal Communication Exercise and Competency Based Interview - Planned for 25th November 2016.
Stage 4 - Pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol test Planned for early December 2016.
