Refusing to ignore people in crisis
If you are looking for a varied, interesting and rewarding opportunity, then being a driver/ambulance support community assistant with the Red Cross is a chance to use your driving and customer care skills to help make a difference to the lives of people in need. This year we have already helped get over 500 people home and have received incredible feedback from both patients and hospital staff, so it’s an exciting time to join the team.

You’ll also be performing routine pre-journey checks on vehicles, cleaning vehicles after use and ensuring all paperwork is completed and submitted in a timely manner.
You will have great people skills and be comfortable dealing with a wide range of people including people that may be distressed or upset.
