The Marketing Coordinator will be committed to the launch, development and ongoing promotion of Company services, products and promotional campaigns. A fine eye for detail, the ability to strategically plan, research, effectively advertise, promote and publicise are essential to the role

Essential Duties

  • Promote the Company brand through effective marketing campaigns
  • Plan the launch of new products and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan
  • Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates our products in the market
  • Market intelligence – be the expert on your buyers, how they buy and their buying criteria; be the expert on your competition
  • Demand generation – develop the strategy and manage the marketing programs that drive demand for your products
  • Identify market opportunities
  • Identify customer problems
  • Define product capabilities and features
  • Forecast Return on Investment
  • Recommend pricing strategies
  • Define product positioning
  • Formulate overall marketing strategies
  • Produce training and sales materials like brochures, price listing, sales letters, sales presentation, etc.
  • communicate  with the sales administrator and develop the sales tools that support the selling process of our products
  • Coach and mentor the sales administrator, escalating training requirements to management
  • Maintain records of all companies marketing activities on a monthly basis
  • Prepare photo shoots for Company marketing purposes
  • Attend events as required and apply for sponsorship where applicable
  • Conduct market research and customer surveys
  • Maintain confidentiality of the Company at all times and adhere to the principals of the Data Protection Act 1998; information should never be disclosed to third parties without expressed permission.
  • Ensure the appropriate standards of Health and Safety are adhered to in line with the Company’s Health and Safety policy also inclusive of current and future legislation
  • Ensure that you fully understand your roles and responsibilities through regular communication with your Line Manager/Director
  • The above list of duties is illustrative and not exhaustive; the post holder may be required to undertake any other relevant duties commensurate with the job as directed by management.

Skills and Specifications

  • Ability to interpret and manage financial numbers
  • Must be able to make decisions relating to profitability
  • Strong design sensitivity
  • Problem solver, creative thinker, team oriented
  • Experienced user of Power point or Graphic Design package
  • Superior written and oral communication skills

Education / Training

  • 3+ years of sales, marketing or design related experience
  • Ideally educated to degree level with a Marketing Degree or equivalent work experience

  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
  • Demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills

Additional Requirements

  • Local travel to meet clients is essential
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Experience within the maritime sector is advantageous
