D2C is expected to be the strongest growing distribution channel in the UK market over the next decade with a specific focus on the use of online. Prudential is strengthening its D2C capability through establishing an integrated online, voice and face to face proposition to deliver the best possible outcomes for the customer.
The D2C Marketing team will play a key role is driving forward the D2C proposition, to generate cross sales, reduce outflows and target new to franchise customers, based on a strong understanding of customers' needs and behaviours. As well as consolidating existing capabilities, the team will branch out into new areas of digital marketing and the associated use of social media and other new media channels, engaging new and existing customers to recognise Prudential as the logical provider to support their financial needs.
The Social Media Manager will lead, manage and execute compelling, compliant, proactive social media strategies to support customer and marketing objectives. You will deliver the social media strategy for Pru UK, driving the growth of followers, engaging and retaining them, and helping to convert them into leads, customers, active fans and promoters.
Working with the Marketing, Brand, PR and content teams across the Group you will ensure robust procedures and governance are in place, whilst delivering seamless execution of social media campaigns to amplify communications and engagement strategies. You will develop the social media playbook and policy safeguarding our position and ensuring risk mitigation and brand integrity.
Through active social listening, you will develop relevant and timely content to optimise social
opportunities. They will create and oversee the key social media presence on LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, Facebook and other community sites, posting on relevant blogs and seeding content to support the overarching brand and customer marketing strategy.
To be successful you will have experience of;
  • Managing multiple projects and deadlines in fast-paced environment
  • Working with insight/analytics teams to help to inform business strategies for other key
  • business areas
  • Using social media listening data and customer insight to develop user-oriented content
  • Working with complex organisations where key stakeholders are dispersed across the business and hold sometimes competing priorities and perspectives
  • Joining up silos and integrating propositions within a business
And knowledge of:
  • Best practice and emerging trends in social media with strong networks / links into other organisations and industry bodies
  • The risks in relation to brand management and social media
  • Social media copywriting skills with the ability to change tone of voice
  • Detailed knowledge of financial services regulatory and legislative frameworks
  • Expert knowledge of social media ecosystem: vendors, partners, technology
  • Knowledge of traditional digital marketing as a basis to understand interconnection between social media and digital channels
  • Strong understanding of SEO ( organic and PPC)
  • Detailed knowledge of social media analytics and their use to guide and shape online content
