Programme Management Services

37.5 hours per week

NHS National Services Scotland (NSS), Programme Management Services (PgMS) is looking for an experienced and qualified portfolio management professional to meet our current and emerging commitments to lead on the delivery of a diverse, long-term strategic portfolio of programmes, projects and business transformation initiatives across Health and the wider Public Sector in Scotland.

PgMS provides portfolio, programme and project delivery support to NSS, other Health Boards, Scottish Government Health and Social Care Directorates and wider Public Sector organisations in Scotland across a substantial and diverse portfolio of programmes and projects delivering strategic change, establishing new responsibilities or services, and developing and promoting new ways of working. PgMS leads and advises on programmes and projects and provides consultancy and support on the use of portfolio, programme and project management techniques.

You should be a suitably qualified applicant with significant experience of portfolio/programme/project management and delivery in a change environment at senior/strategic level. In addition you will be able to demonstrate extensive senior strategic management experience in a leadership role, covering all aspects of financial, performance, planning and risk management within a large complex organisation preferably within the NHS or public sector. The post requires the individual to have excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills. Candidates should be confident, articulate and self motivated.
