All salaries are inclusive of Islands Allowance. Appointment to the post will be on the first point of grade with annual incremental progression for permanent posts.
Based at the Council Offices, Stornoway as part of the Human Resources Team you will assist in the delivery of health care policies promoting the health and wellbeing of employees from health screening and risk assessments to health education. You will be responsible for undertaking health interviews of employees returning to work following prolonged illness or injury, advising management and arranging supported phased return as required. You will be responsible for liaising with and referring employees to the Comhairle’s Independent Medical Advisor as required.
You must be a Registered Nurse with a working knowledge of occupational health legislation and issues. You will require diplomacy, good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to win trust and inspire confidence in people. Computer literacy and a driving licence is essentialAppointment to the post will be for the duration of the maternity leave of the permanent postholder.
