An exciting opportunity has arisen to lead and shape the Procurement and Account Payable Team at UWS. We are looking for a dynamic individual who can inspire our people. With a can do and resilient attitude coupled with a focus on being solutions driven, you will provide a first class value add procurement service to the University and its stakeholders.
The successful candidate will have significant procurement experience demonstrating experience of successfully leading and managing Procurement functions. An in depth understanding of the major Procurement issues and practical experience of the provision of policy advice based on this understanding is essential. We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates with detailed technical expertise in fields of procurement with a clear focus on results and a track record of successful delivery at senior level, preferably but not exclusively within the HE sector.
You should be a graduate with post graduate qualification in Procurement and/or Purchasing or related subject ideally a member of Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (MCIPS or FCIPS).
The successful candidate will be based at our Paisley Campus with some scheduled activities at our other campus locations as required.
