A new opportunity has become available for a Welder/Fabricator to join our busy Pre-Production department. You will manufacture and or convert components by using general welding and fabrication tools and techniques.
Key Responsibilities are:
Complete and adhere to departmental induction instructions, complete minimum safety training documentation and practical assessments as required by the company
Carry out all work in accordance with relevant safe systems of work
Do not operate any tools, equipment or vehicles for which a risk assessment, safety training and practical assessment has been completed
Attend all additional training as required to include updating appropriate coding certification when necessary
Adhere to job cards and complete all work in accordance with information provided, paying attention to the order of work and the time allowed
Strive to complete all work in accordance with standard allowed times and report and delays to supervisor
Report any faulty or broken components to supervisor immediately
Comply with quality control systems, methods and documentation and maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times
To be effective in this role, you will be a time served or qualified Welder with M.I.G. experience and you will be proficient in the use of measuring equipment. Experience of T.I.G., welding stainless steel and aluminium and of operating a press brake would be advantageous but are not essential.
Hours of work are Monday – Thursday 7.30am – 4.30pm and Friday 7.30am – 3pm. This position offers a superb opportunity to join a progressive and committed company.
