An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Sales Executive to join Ayr Racecourse & Western House Hotel in our busy Sales and Marketing Department.
With 35 fixtures throughout the year including both The Coral Scottish Grand National Festival and The William Hill Ayr Gold Cup Festival, Ayr is Scotland’s Premier Racecourse.
The racecourse’s facilities also include The Princess Royal Exhibition, Banqueting and Conference Centre; the largest conference and events centre outside of a major city, which is equipped with the latest modern technology.
Meanwhile, the stunning and luxurious four star Western House Hotel has won multiple awards and is one of the country’s leading wedding venues.
The main requirements for this role are:
•A self-motivated, target driven approach
• A proven track record in sales, preferably within the leisure sector
• Excellent customer service skills
• Experience in new business development and account management
• Excellent communication and sales presentation skills
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• A firm grasp of modern technologies
The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving sales targets across our entire portfolio including race sponsorship, hospitality, conferences and events.
Maintaining a good relationship with existing customers will be key, along with proactively seeking out new opportunities, sectors and clients.
This is a temporary role for a duration of 8 months. The successful candidate must be available to commit to full-time hours for the duration of the contract. The position will be reviewed at the end of the contract, which could potentially lead to a permanent position.
