Perform Panel External Sales Executive

We have an immediate vacancy for an experienced external Sales Executive who can work from any location in Scotland.  The successful candidate will ideally have a construction/builders merchant background or experience in timber products.  The purpose of the role is to increase sales growth and generate account penetration within the Scottish marketplace by effectively promoting and selling the company's Perform Panel product and accessories.

The role will include but not be limited too:

Promote, establish, develop and maintain business relationship with current and prospective customers

Make telephone calls and in-person visits and presentations to existing and prospective customers

Develop and assess prospective customers by researching, gathering information and determining their potential

Develop clear and effective written pricing /proposals for current and prospective customers

Support Board of Directors with devising Perform Panel sales strategy and “pipeline campaigns”

Providing appropriate information to assist in the strategic planning process

Assist in co-ordinating sales effort with marketing of Perform Panel externally

Analyse the Scottish market potential for Perform Panel and determine the value of existing and prospective customers to the business

Communicate advantages and disadvantages of Perform Panel compared to our competitors to assist in decision making going forward

Plan and organise weekly sales call in advance for review and present weekly sales call report thereafter

Provide the board with weekly / monthly oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities and potential for Perform Panel

Liaise with internal sales team on customer marketing requirements, i.e. brochures, samples, displays etc

Support and expedite the resolution of customer issues Any other duties required by the Board of Directors

The PPESE will receive the appropriate training after which they will have proficient knowledge in the following areas:

  • Understand the sales process
  • Knowledge in Perform Panel and accessories
  • Knowledge of customer base
  • Commercial Knowledge of Scottish market / territory
  • To understand the external sales function and responsibilities

Please note that this role will require extensive travel throughout Scotland and will include overnight stays on occasion.

There will also be a requirement for visits to locations further afield in the UK at times, and any applicants must be willing to comply with all of the above.
