A Senior Sales Engineer is required for a full time position to work for one of the UK's most innovative young companies, also a World leader in electronic systems for small satellites and CubeSats. As a key member of the Business Development Team you will be responsible for building close relationships with our customers, supporting their projects and ensuring Clyde Space continues deliver excellent customer service, exceeding our customers’ expectations.
The Senior Sales Engineer will have a good mix of great communication skills business sense and the ability to express yourself creatively so you can communicate across the various stakeholders involved in Clyde Space products and projects.
The right person will also need to drive revenue growth from existing customers and create new revenue from incoming enquiries as well as develop new business initiatives for the business.
The successful candidate will be involved all aspects of client relationships including weekly reports and pipelines with regular updates to the Head of Business development and the Executive management team at Clyde Space.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Identify new sales leads, pitching products, and maintaining strong relationships with existing/new customer in the CubeSat market.
Present and introduce the Clyde Space solution to senior stakeholders at the customers site.
Understanding the needs of different companies and learning who make decision about purchasing/signing off to procure Clyde Space solutions within the prospective customer’s company
Planning, overseeing, attending conferences, meetings and industry events to develop marketing strategy
Preparing documentation, sales displays, developing proposals, and negotiation to achieve the sales target
The Successful Applicant:
At least 10 years in Sales management, Business development experienced in Spacecraft or complex products from the aerospace industry
Strong track record in new business development
A Strong network within the Spacecraft or CubeSat industry at decision making level.
Able to sell to both existing business and start-up companies.
Strong leadership with excellent influencing, communication and presentation skills
Experience of selling to and managing relationships with US and European Prime contractors in the Aerospace and Spacecraft markets.
Drive and hunger to achieve results Independent, self–starter and initiator Entrepreneurial mindset with a great personality
Prepared to Travel extensively and be visible to all key clients worldwide
Education & Experience:
Degree in an engineering discipline, or physics, ideally with postgraduate qualification
