Scottish autism seeks to promote and provide care, education, support and opportunities for individuals with autism of all ages throughout Scotland.
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and committed Support Worker to work within the outreach team within Central services.
Central Scotland Area Services supports adults on the Autism Spectrum to live in and access their local community. We do this through a combination of Residential, Day, Home Support and Outreach services throughout Clackmannanshire.
In this role, you will be an integral member of the support team contributing to and ensuring a high quality of care and support for individuals on the Autism Spectrum and / or with complex needs. Care provision will be on a needs assessed basis and will reflect the ethos of promoting independence and personal choice ensuring service users receive the physical, practical and emotional support to meet their needs.
Suitable candidates will be willing to work towards attaining a relevant qualification for this position. Previous experience of working in a relevant field is desirable. You will have good interpersonal and organisational skills with the ability to communicate effectively. Some practical experience using Microsoft software packages such as word and excel would also be beneficial to this role.
The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check and will be required to register with the SSSC.
