This is a full time position Monday-Friday 9-17.00pm (duration reviewed in December)
£25-£30.00 Hourly Rate depending on experience
Successful candidates must have the ability to be mobile across the Falkirk Council area (Driving license and own transport is required for this position)
Due to the nature of this work, individuals should have a background in social work and should hold a current PVG (£18 to update).
- To assess the physical, psychological and social needs of individuals
-To provide an Adult Service to Community Care client groups in accordance with departmental priorities, applying appropriate skills and experience
- To work with Social Care Officers and carry out their supervision where appropriate
- Working with individuals to assist individuals achieve positive outcomes
- To formulate and implement programmes designed to help people with disabilities attain optimum levels of personal, domestic, social and economic independence.
-Discussing with clients the Council's Charging Policy and obtaining information to assess the client's financial contribution for service provided
-Developing expertise in particular areas of need and acting as a resource for other workers
-Carry out assessments, working with all Community Care client groups.
-Previous experience of working in a community setting
-Trained or experience in the following: Dip.SW., CQSW., CSS., Dip.OT., BSc. OT, SSSC registered preferably previous "community" experience.
-The ability to work to deadlines, strong interpersonal skills and strong report writing skills
