Social Work Supported Employment Service (SWSES), Adult Services (Resources), provides a bridge to work to assist people who experience disabilities or health issues to achieve their work goals through the delivery of supported employment. SWSES provides:
First Steps: pre-employment training in workshop and group settings, adapted to suit individual learning needs.
Next Steps: tailored and person centred one to one support to help people progress into work
SWSES manages Matrix Fife; a supported business with over an 80% workforce with disabilities and health issues.
Clients evolving employment aspirations are accommodated through regular monitor and review, and by establishing robust links with Fifes business community.
SWSES actively promote the benefits of employing people with disabilities and health issues and the employability agenda, working with a range of organisations involved in employment, health, education and social care

You will provide support to people with disabilities and mental health issues to enable them to sustain employment. This may include travel support, on the job coaching and other support as required.
Experiences of supporting people, ability to work independently, capacity to travel throughout Fife and have good verbal/written communication skills are essential.
Before confirming appointment, you will be required to obtain PVG scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland. The Council applies the Scottish Local Government Living Wage of 7.50 per hour to this post.
