Quarriers Mavisbank project offers a flexible respite service, we provide individualised support for adults with a learning disability, either in a residential/short stay setting or through flexible respite provided at home or on a short break.
Mavisbank project are looking to recruit motivated and enthusiastic individuals for Part Time Support Worker posts covering 16 hours. Social care is not a 9-5 job, some people require support at varying times. You will be resilient with strong self-awareness and excellent people skills. Experience of working in the field of learning disabilities is not essential however a willingness to learn the necessary skills is essential.
The ideal candidate will have a flexible approach; being able and willing to work on a rota basis including weekend work. You will be able to demonstrate sensitivity and interpersonal skills as well as good verbal and written communication skills. We require a candidate with the ability to work cooperatively within a team, ability to problem solve and make decisions and possess organisational and prioritisation skills.

IT skills are required for all Quarriers vacancies.
Successful candidates will be required to register with the SSSC. Where you are employed in a service where registration is compulsory, you must ensure that you register in the appropriate category within 6 months of starting in post. After registration, there is a requirement to be qualified within 3 years
