ORKNEY HEALTH AND CARE
Social Care Assistant
27.5 hours per week
Temporary maternity cover up to 12 months
£21,588 - £22,785 pro rata (including Shift Allowance and Distant Islands Allowance)
We are seeking to recruit an individual who is highly motivated towards providing high quality services to older people in our extra care facility. The post holder will be required to undertake tasks as delegated by senior staff, but also need to be able to use their own initiative at times. The post requires adherence to Care Standards and Codes of Practice as well as a positive attitude towards optimum fulfilment of older people's lives.
Previous experience in social care is highly desirable. You should hold a minimum of SVQ 2 in Health & Social Care, or an equivalent level qualification, to enable registration with the SSSC, or be able to achieve this qualification within 3 years.
This post is subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme in respect of regulated work with adults.
