At Heart for Art based in Glasgow we help service users with dementia to connect with society and express themselves, whilst breaking down the barriers of preconception, stigma and discrimination. For us, providing the best quality of care is hugely rewarding and our goal is to ensure that every one of our residents enjoys the best possible quality of life.
An understanding of dementia care and how creative arts and promote self-worth and achievement is just the start. With a genuine passion for the creative arts, and drawing and painting in particular, you’ll being enthusiasm and energy to work with the rest of the team. Your friendly, encouraging approach to exploring ideas for arts projects will involve everyone in the process, and you must show care, patience and sensitivity in working with vulnerable people. We’re also looking artistic skills in drawing, and a background, skills and qualifications related to creative/visual arts. You must be flexible to cover a number of locations across Glasgow if required.
