Advert Renfrewshire Health and Social Care Partnership Mental Health, Addictions and Learning Disability Services are delighted to offer a significant management opportunity within its learning disabilities services management team. We are looking for a high achieving individual who is fully committed to delivering positive outcomes for adults with learning disabilities and autism and who can work effectively with colleagues across the Health and Social Care Partnership, Third Sectors and partner organisations. You will at all times retain a 360 degree view of your team’s functioning, actively manage your team’s performance and look for ways to improve service delivery. You will be supported as part of a focused and enthusiastic senior management team. You will provide both strategic and external operational management and leadership for the day and respite services for adults with learning disabilities and autism, across Renfrewshire. Working closely with the service management teams, you will have the responsibility to oversee the care planning, management and review processes, have an effective overview of the budgets, staffing, recruitment, absence management , ensure training and development opportunities are in place for the staff team and support the ongoing development of the day and respite services . Previous line management and leadership skills, with experience of working in services for adults with learning disabilities or adult care services are essential. Working as part of the senior management team for RLDS, you will support or undertake the review, evaluation, monitoring and planning of services; and develop and implement relevant supporting policies and procedures, underpinned by current legislation and national policy to develop and implement an outcome focused approach to person centred support and planning. You will promote a culture of active participation and involvement of service users and carers in the delivery, evaluation, monitoring, and development of services, promoting an approach of community integration to ensure that adults with learning disabilities and autism have opportunities to meet their outcomes. As required you will take part in appropriate partnership fora to ensure the needs of adults with learning disabilities and autism are represented and reflected in tfuture decisions and outcomes. You will support the delivery of Adult Support and Protection as outlined within the national and local guidance, ensuring all staff have access to training opportunities and support, enabling the delivery of appropriate care and support plans underpinned by robust risk management. A sound knowledge of legislation and current policy drivers is essential You will bring to the role experience gained in service management, in the field of adults with learning disabilities and or autism. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to develop and maintain effective, positive relationships with colleagues, key organisations and partners providing a positive role model for partnership, relationship and conflict management. You must hold a relevant qualification, be able to meet the requirements to register with the SSSC. . The salary applicable to this post reflects the outcome of the Council's job evaluation process.
